JLT Studio provides fun and engaging piano lessons for students aged 6 and up focusing on developing the skills needed to find their own style, play the piano with confidence.

 

Students will learn how to:

  • play by ear

  • improvise with confidence 

  • read a range of written music

  • play chord voicings

  • understand harmony

  • transcribe

Jazz piano is for those who already have the basic skills and want to delve into the art of improvisation.

 

Students will learn how to: 

  • advance piano techniques

  • analyse recordings and written music

  • read a range of written music.

  • play in a range of styles.

  • apply music theory in practical ways.

  • arrange music for small groups 

  • communicate effectively with others
