JLT Studio provides fun and engaging piano lessons for students aged 6 and up focusing on developing the skills needed to find their own style, play the piano with confidence with an experienced music teacher.

Jazz piano is for those who already have the basic skills and want to delve into the art of improvisation with an experienced and qualified Music teacher.

 

Students will learn how to: 

• advance piano techniques

• analyse recordings and written music

• read a range of written music.

• play in a range of styles.

• apply music theory in practical ways.

• arrange music for small groups 

• communicate effectively with others

Music Theory & Analysis is for those who want to write and arrange music by focusing on composition techniques, harmony, voicing and arranging with an experienced and knowledgable music teacher.

Students will learn how to: 

• chord theory and analysis

• analyse recordings and written music

• write in a range of styles.

• arrange for various combinations of instruments

• apply music theory in practical ways.

• present their music so others can play it
